All your data stays in YOUR Google account (your Calendar, your Sheets, your Drive). We operate a stateless proxy for distance calculations that does not log or store any user data. We have no technical ability to access your mileage records, addresses, or calendar events.---## 1. Information We Collect### 1.1 Calendar Data
When you use Mileage Log, we access the following information from your Google Calendar™:
- Event titles
- Event dates and times
- Event locations/destinations
- Event descriptions/notes
- Attendee email addresses (if present)
- Calendar namesPurpose: This data is used solely to populate your mileage log spreadsheet. We do not store this data on our servers—it is written directly to your Google Sheet.### 1.2 Location Data
When you enter origin and destination addresses, we process these addresses to calculate driving distances.Purpose: This data is sent to Google Maps™ API to calculate real-world driving distances. We cache distance calculations locally within your Google Sheet to minimize redundant API calls.### 1.3 User Preferences
We store your preferences, including:
- Selected calendars for import
- Filter settings (which event types to exclude)
- Origin place aliases (nickname shortcuts for addresses)Purpose: These preferences are stored in your Google account's user properties and are not accessible to us or any third party.### 1.4 Payment Information
If you purchase a paid plan, payment is processed by LemonSqueezy (our third-party payment processor). We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card number or payment details. LemonSqueezy provides us only with:
- Your email address
- Your license key
- Purchase date and plan typePurpose: This information is used solely to validate your license and provide access to paid features.---## 2. How We Use Your InformationWe use the information we collect to:
- Import calendar events into your Google Sheet

To calculate driving distances, we send origin and destination addresses to Google's Distance Matrix API. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.### 3.2 LemonSqueezy (Payment Processing)
If you purchase a paid plan, your payment is processed by LemonSqueezy. Your payment information is subject to LemonSqueezy's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your full payment details.### 3.3 No Other Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with any other third parties.### 3.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).---## 4. Data Storage and Security### 4.1 Where Your Data Lives
- Calendar data: Remains in your Google Calendar and is copied to your Google Sheet
- Mileage calculations: Stored in your Google Sheet
- User preferences: Stored in your Google account's user properties
- Distance cache: Stored in Google's document properties for your spreadsheet
- License key: Stored in your Google spreadsheet's document properties### 4.2 Our Servers
We do not store your personal data on our servers. All data processing occurs within Google's infrastructure using Google Apps Script. The only external calls are to Google Maps API for distance calculations and LemonSqueezy for license validation.### 4.3 Zero Data Retention (Verified)
Our distance calculation service operates as a stateless proxy. When you calculate mileage:
- Your addresses are forwarded to Google Maps API
- The distance results are returned directly to your spreadsheet
- We do not log, store, or retain any addresses, routes, or calculation results
- We have no technical ability to access your mileage dataThe proxy code contains no logging statements, no database connections, and no persistent storage. Each request is processed and immediately forgotten.### 4.4 Security Measures
- All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
- We use Google's secure Apps Script infrastructure
- Your API calls are routed through a secure proxy that protects API credentials
- We do not have access to your Google account credentials
- License keys are validated securely via LemonSqueezy's API---## 5. Data Retention and Deletion### 5.1 Retention
Your data remains in your Google Sheet and Google account for as long as you choose to keep it. We do not retain copies of your data.### 5.2 Deletion
You can delete your data at any time by:
- Deleting rows from your mileage log spreadsheet
- Deleting the entire spreadsheet
- Uninstalling the Mileage Log add-on
- Revoking the add-on's access in your Google Account permissionsWhen you uninstall the add-on, your user preferences are automatically removed from your Google account.---## 6. Your RightsYou have the right to:
- Access: View all data the Service has access to (it's in your own Google Sheet)
- Correction: Edit any data directly in your spreadsheet

The Service offers a free tier that allows you to import up to 10 calendar events total per workbook. This free tier includes full functionality so you can evaluate whether the Service meets your needs.### 6.2 Paid Plans
To import more than 10 events, you must purchase a paid plan. Current plans are:- Pro: $15/year — up to 3,000 events per year
- Road Warrior: $25/year — up to 15,000 events per yearCurrent pricing is always available at https://thisisair.com.### 6.3 License Keys
When you purchase a paid plan, you will receive a license key. Each license key may be activated on one workbook. Event limits are tracked per workbook, not per license key. You are responsible for keeping your license key secure and not sharing it with others.### 6.4 Billing and Payment Processing
- All paid plans are billed annually in advance
- Payment is processed by LemonSqueezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC), our third-party payment processor
- By purchasing, you also agree to LemonSqueezy's Terms of Service
- All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as described in Section 6.6### 6.5 Free Tier Limitations
The 10-event limit on the free tier is cumulative across all imports within a single workbook. Once you have imported 10 events, additional imports require a paid plan. Events moved to the Audit Log still count toward this limit.### 6.6 Refund Policy
If you are unsatisfied with the Service, you may request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase. Refund requests should be sent to [email protected]. Refunds are not available after the 14-day period or for subscription renewals.### 6.7 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your LemonSqueezy customer portal. Cancellation will prevent automatic renewal. You will retain access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.### 6.8 Price Changes
We may change our pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will take effect at your next billing cycle after the notice period.---## 7. Intellectual Property### 7.1 Our Rights
The Service, including its code, design, features, and documentation, is owned by This Is Air, LLC and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.### 7.2 Your Rights

The Service relies on Google Calendar, Google Sheets, Google Maps API, and LemonSqueezy for payment processing. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or functionality of these third-party services.### 8.4 Distance Calculations
Driving distances are calculated using Google Maps API and represent estimated driving routes. Actual distances may vary based on:
- Route changes
- Construction or road closures
- GPS accuracy

How it Works:

For users of Google Calendar^TM and Sheets^TM only (maybe one day we'll make it accessible to other platforms, but today, I want to go for a hike).
1. Create a Google Sheet^TM with a name you'll remember. (Feel free to get creative, call it Eagle Rising, or call it Mileage Log if you want to be boring).
2. In the top menu, click Extensions, Add-on, Get add-ons, and search for Mileage Log. Download it to your sheet, and a Mileage Log menu item should appear in the top menu bar.
3. Click on the Mileage Log menu item in the top bar, and select Setup Wizard to walk you through the rest.
4. Make sure you have an active license to download more than 10 events. You will need to go back through the setup wizard after authenticating your license.Helpful FeaturesEntity Summary
Changing the name in the Entity Column will allow you to total up mileage deductions for different entities or projects. Cool!Move Marked Rows
Have items you need to move over to the Audit Log tab, or back to the Mileage Log tab? Simple put an X in column A, head back up to the Mileage Log menu, and select "Move Marked Rows". It will not move items from both tabs at the same time; it will only move items from the active tab to the passive tab.Origin Places
You can enter the same address over and over again in the origin column, or, we made it easy by creating a shortcut.
