Hi, My name is Nicole.
I built this app because I own my own business, and spend a lot of time driving around. Turns out that's a significant deduction of my taxes if I just created a mileage log! But who wants to spend time doing that, especially when all that data is already in my calendar? I hope this tool lets you spend less time working in "the system" and more time on things you love to do.
Need help? Just ask. Give us a couple of days to reply.
For users of Google CalendarTM and SheetsTM only (maybe one day we'll make it accessible to other platforms, but today, I want to go for a hike).
1. Create a Google SheetTM with a name you'll remember. (Feel free to get creative, call it Eagle Rising, or call it Mileage Log if you want to be boring).
2. In the top menu, click Extensions, Add-on, Get add-ons, and search for Mileage Log. Download it to your sheet, and a Mileage Log menu item should appear in the top menu bar.
3. Click on the Mileage Log menu item in the top bar, and select Setup Wizard to walk you through the rest.
4. Make sure you have an active license to download more than 10 events. You will need to go back through the setup wizard after authenticating your license.Helpful FeaturesEntity Summary
Changing the name in the Entity Column will allow you to total up mileage deductions for different entities or projects. Cool!Move Marked Rows
Have items you need to move over to the Audit Log tab, or back to the Mileage Log tab? Simple put an X in column A, head back up to the Mileage Log menu, and select "Move Marked Rows". It will not move items from both tabs at the same time; it will only move items from the active tab to the passive tab.Origin Places
You can enter the same address over and over again in the origin column, or, we made it easy by creating a shortcut. Enter the address once at the top underneath Origin Places, give it a nickname, and then use that nickname in the origin column! If you're more of a visual learner, check out this quick video.
